This activity can be used for a wide range of ages and is a great discussion starter! It can be used in an individual session with a counselor/therapist or in a group setting. Product includes one blank worksheet and one example worksheet. Directions for completing worksheet are located at the top of the form.
Ask students to list things that make them feel afraid, worry them, etc. Encourage students to write all fears/worries, no matter how big or small they may seem. Second, have students write or draw a representation of how their body feels when they feel fearful/worried (see example). Students can then share and discuss their responses with counselor/peers.
Discussion points can include:
How are your fears different from/similar to your peers?
How are your bodily responses to fears/worries different from/similar to your peers?
What can we do to overcome our fears/worries?
When should you ask for help?
