My Feelings Belong to Me Edition 2 is a social/emotional development lesson helping kindergarten students identify 4 basic feelings: happy, sad, scared and mad. This paper folding activity is used to enhance the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Kindergarten lesson: Happy, Sad, Scared and Mad: All Belong To Me. The lesson and the complete Missouri comprehensive School Counseling Curriculum may be downloaded for free with the link provided in this activity packet. This is the second edition of My Feelings Belong To Me, the first edition featured apple faces.
Kindergarten students learn to identify basic feelings and then make a simple folding book. They draw pictures of themselves expressing each basic feeling. The booklet can be opened up and on the inside students will find larger pictures of the emotion/feeling faces to color. Students can also trace the letters of each feeling word. This paper folding activity also allows students to practice fine motor skills too!
