Why is it important to plan your meals? What does it take to plan healthy meals? These are questions students will be able to answer after they complete the “My Five Day Meal Plan.”
Students will take notes over basic nutrition before they complete the five day meal plan. Students will be asked to identify the six food groups and tell how many servings are recommend each day. After notes are finished, students will complete a meal plan for five days.. Students will be required to make sure they have all the daily recommend allowance for each food group.
Teachers may choose to have students complete all of this project in class, some parts of the project in class or have students complete this project as a homework assignment.
