Accountability and Responsibility are two words I use often in my first grade classroom. I want my students to take control of their actions. This is a perfect way to do that. I printed out these “Goal” sheets, laminated them, and placed it on each student’s desk. The students then choose a goal that they would like to meet (can be done weekly, bi-weekly) and write on the goal sheet with a dry-erase maker. I sometimes make suggestions if necessary, but the students are getting really good at deciding on their own. The goal can be either academic or behavioral. Choose your color, then go! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
