Description
Students with speech and language difficulties often struggle with story telling (verbally and in writing). Therefore, I created several different storytelling and writing guides, including this one that's all about Halloween! Get ready for some spooky stories!

What awesome resources are included?
★ Story elements guide
★ Planning sheet
★ Rough draft using story sequence
★ Final draft with pictures

How can you use this product?
★ First, students will select from the pictures provided (or will come up with their own) characters, setting, problem, and solution.
★ Next, they will write or use an outline to express in complete sentences more details about their characters, setting, problem, and solution. Cues to provide students include: "What are their names?" "What adjectives can we use to describe them?" "Help me picture it in my mind using your words."
★ Then, students will use the outline provided to come up with their story. Can they use their descriptions in their story? Does their story have an appropriate sequence? Can your students check their work and make sure they have included all necessary parts?
★ Finally, students will have an opportunity to write their story and make an illustration to go with it. They can share their work with their peers to practice verbalizing their stories.
