My Hurricane Irma Experience LEGO Like writing prompt.
Many students and teachers have been impacted and affected by Hurricane Irma both physically and emotionally. As we all experienced similar, yet different things my hope is that these writing prompts can be helpful to students as we return to school to open a dialog about what we went through and how we can all be grateful for something. These writing prompts to describe Hurricane Irma Experience include 2 pages with 10 specific writing prompts and 2 blank spaces for teacher initiated prompts. The 10 specific prompts are: I felt, I did, I saw, I heard, I am grateful for, I was with, I went to, To stay safe, I will help, and I experienced.
This theme was specifically chosen to help remind us that even though Hurricane Irma was destructive and caused damage, we are productive and can build and rebuild things to make a positive impact on our communities.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by Hurricane Irma. Our home in Leesburg, Florida sustained power loss and minor damage, but we are grateful that we are safe! Please let me know if I can help create anything else for you to help our kiddos cope with this international disaster.
