This project really gets students interested in reading the way we do in the real world. Students widely read a variety of non-fiction texts, songs, and poems that relate to their own lives and compile their annotations, reflections, and artifacts into a creative display of their choice. The main purpose is to introduce students to a variety of reading that could possibly lead to further independent reading as well as developing their close-reading skills. Project guidelines and scoring are broken down into easy-to-follow steps.
