I created this journal activity to use with my students as we study North America. They love to feel as if they are traveling which makes learning more fun!
Students have a passport where they collect a sticker for each country before learning about it. There are journal pages for USA, Canada, and Mexico where students write new vocabulary words. There is a sightseeing journal page for students to write facts they learned and draw pictures. Finally students will pick their favorite place and write about it.
Everything needed for this activity is included except the content. We use our Social Studies book as we travel to each country and learn about it.
-Journal pages for each North American country: The map pages include black and white map versions as well. There are different kid art versions of the final page in which they write about their favorite place.
-Passport stickers: color and black and white
-Instructions for setting it all up.
