My Kanji Journal, a creation of Kanji Mama and My Nihongo Lessons, is designed to complement and support the materials used in a formal language course and self-study.
My Kanji Journal is a tool for students of all levels to record and practice kanji.
My Kanji Journal is designed for use with the book Remembering the Kanji 1: A Complete Course on How Not to Forget the Meaning and Writing of Japanese Characters by James W. Heisig, however, any textbook is acceptable. My Kanji Journal is a place where you record your kanji character the first time you are introduced to it in a lesson. As you learn more about the pronunciation, vocabulary, and its other identifiers, you will return to this entry and record your new knowledge. Keep in mind that you will NOT complete the journal entry in one sitting. You will revisit this entry as you learn more of the language. You are developing a relationship with this character, not racing to fill a notebook.
