This is a series of activities to be used in conjunction with a unit on Homes or more specifically the kitchen. This lesson includes a Smartboard Notebook lesson (Need notebook to open the lesson) that teaches students about the kitchen, it's purpose in the home, and various common appliances associated with the kitchen. There is an interactive sorting activity at the end of the Notebook Lesson. There are also two versions of a quiz to go with the Notebook Lesson. One has visuals answers, and the other does not and has slightly higher level thinking questions. There are also a series of 4 counting worksheets. These are designed for maintenance math skills to count objects associated with the kitchen. There is also a Fact/Opinion worksheet for students to differentiate fact from opinion regarding simple sentences about the kitchen. There is also a worksheet with various pictures about the kitchen and students are tasked with writing 2 sentences about the picture. There is also a worksheet that tasks students with circling items that they see in a kitchen from a field of 20 pictures.
