This makes a great assessment tool. Each month the children draw a picture and dictate their story to the teachers. They also have to write their name each month. Once they are done the teachers can cut along the bottom of the page and glue the page into a Lakeshore Hardback Book or save the pages and bind them however you choose. It would be just as cute with staples and a washie tape binding. I pull them out and share them during conference time and show the parents their improved skills in writing, drawing and ability to tell a story. The students loved working on their "Storybook" page each month and the parents adored the books at the end of the year.
