This one page activity can be used with a wide variety of subject (Visual Arts, Social Science, History, etc.). Students design their own mythological monster. I use this when we are learning about Greek and Roman mythology and imagery in art. We look at a variety of Ancient monsters/gods/goddesses/deities like Medusa or the Hydra. Students seem to have a good time inventing their own monster, and creating the 'back story' of where that monster came from, and what type of power it has. I usually have my students colour it using markers and pencil crayons. I usually use this as a bit of creativity break after a history lesson.
