I created a series of Profile Zine templates (in three levels) which are a fun way to teach English lessons and prepare a self introduction in English. Each profile zine is a one page (A4 size, close to 8 1/2 x 11) file which can be folded to make an eight page booklet.
This product includes three printable PDF files:
1. How To Fold Your Zine
2. Question and Answer Examples
3. Profile Zine Template
All levels of the Profile Zine start with a self portrait on the front cover of the booklet. My Profile No. 3 is a higher intermediate level for ESL students. As a reference, in Japan, junior high school students in their third year will learn this material. Past Participle grammar is used.
Example sentences used are:
I was born in ___________.
I've lived in __________ for about ____ ________.
All printable PDF zines come with (PDF printable file) How to Fold instructions and a PDF file with questions and answer examples. Profile zines can be printed onto any light colored A4 paper. (When printed onto 8 1/2 x 11 paper, some cropping or resizing may occur.)
You are free to print multiple copies for each of your students. No logos or marketing are included on the PDFs at this time.
Profile Zines are great for small group lessons or larger classrooms. They can be combined with a self introduction assignment, and incorporate writing, conversation, and grammar usage. Profile zines work with just about any age group as long as the level is appropriate. All levels are made for students who can read and write in English, at least at a basic level.
Each page of the zine can be expanded with vocabulary or grammar points to fill up a lesson, or the whole zine can be completed in one workshop or lesson.
