This educational project was developed to give those little photographers in your class a chance to take a class camera home and take pictures of the things that are special to them at home, their family, and any special outings or events they may attend.
The project is very similar to a travelling teddy, but instead of taking a teddy home with them they take a class camera home. They can also take home a special photo album where their parents or guardians can add the phots and any explanations near the pictures. The children can also add drawings with their photos. If the families are unable to print the photos the photos can be brought back to the centre to be printed and stuck into the class family photo album.
The photos could also be displayed on a community wall in your room. The children will see these pictures, both in the album and / or on the wall and take great pride and ownership in their photos and the things that are special and unique to them.
