This is a one page worksheet designed to get students thinking about the role of percent in markups and discounts in store sales. The students will create a store name and give it a description. They will then list items for sale in their store. They will use the item list to fill in two tables. One to find the retail price given a wholesale price and the other to find the new sale price following a given discount. For extra credit I often have the students draw a picture of their new store on the back.
