My Summer Activity in Spanish and English
Includes 6 versions:
Back to School version 1 in Spanish (for Level 2): Students fill this in to reflect on their past summer. This one does not require students to construct the preterite. It uses ¿Qué te gustó hacer? to be answered with infinitives.
Back to School version 2 in Spanish (for Level 3+): Students fill this in and decorate to reflect on their past summer. This one does not require students to construct the preterite. It uses Yo + preterite tense for the summer activities.
End of the Year Version 1 in Spanish: Students fill this in and decorate thinking about their upcoming summer. This uses ir + a + infinitive.
Added 4/2016: End of the Year Version 2 in Spanish: Students fill this in thinking about their upcoming summer with the future tense.
English Version for Back to School: for beginner level 1 Spanish or other subjects
English End of Year Version

Students complete the activity in the target language. You can specify a minimum number of places/foods/ activities for each shape.
You can instruct students to add illustrations if you/they would like.
For the sun, students can write 1 adjective per sun ray. For beginner levels, they could write one letter per ray to spell out an adjective.
You can have students cut around the white edges and let the border serve as a frame to hang these on the wall or bulletin board.

have them complete the End of the Year
version, and then compare how their grammar
and vocabulary has progressed through the
