Product Description
This FREEBIE is the first of a series of Maternity Leave related activities I plan to put together as I'm expecting my first child this summer :)
This mini-book social story is completely editable. (I used baby girl pictures on some of the pages because I did not see a gender neutral picture on the site I was using (and we are having a girl!), but you could certainly change the picture, just check out My Cute Graphics using the link below).

I made the calendars in Word by creating a chart and filling in the dates. I used the symbol feature in Powerpoint to make the "no" symbols. You can do the same or email me for help creating different months at autism.theteenyears@gmail.com. (You could also google image search the month you're looking for!)

For my class I'll be adding in my actual name and pictures of me.
I also used a lot of language in this book since my current class is a group of students who 1. have higher level reading and language skills and 2. have had a previous teacher go out on maternity leave before, so it's not new to them. The content and language can and should be modified to work best for your class.

Best of luck to you all with your class and your new baby!!
