Social Stories are so amazing at teaching Social Stories!
Calling all Special Education teachers, Speech Therapists, Regular Education teachers, School Counselors, and Inclusive Classroom teachers! Social Stories are perfect for reinforcing appropriate social skills in regular education students, students with autism, and students with ADHD. Classroom Management will become a breeze with the addition of Social Stories in your classroom. I have several I am working on and a few in my store. All of my social stories are written in “kid friendly language” and stories that I have personally used in my own classroom. The great thing about Social Stories is that you can use them in so many ways and I have included some suggestions on how to use them. Social stories are especially useful for students with autism and behavioral disorders, but all students can benefit from their use. I have included a page that talks about why you should use social stories in your classroom.
My Teachers’ Schedules Change Sometimes (A social story on accepting changes in my teacher’s schedule) is a story that can help students deal with changes in their teachers’ schedules which can also mean changes to which teacher is with them at certain times of the day. This story tells the students that it is ok to be angry about the schedule change just as long as they handle it in an appropriate manner. This story lets students know that these schedule changes come because teachers work with many different students, so they have to make time for all of them.
