Writing often and across curricula is extremely important. This graphic organizer can be seamlessly implemented across curriculum areas. It allows space for the emergent or beginning writer to draw their thoughts first and then, write a word, sentence, or equation to express their ideas. I use this in math class for story problems, ELA for everything from sight words in context to creative writing, and in science/social studies for students to show observations of experiments and explain newly acquired vocabulary. I hope this versatile resource enhances your students learning.
