--Your View of the World
--Your Hopes and Dreams
--Things I Treasure
My students have always very positively written their histories, and I usually incorporate it early in the year as it gives me a view of my students. It also is pretty revealing for students as it does cause them to interview family histories. I provided my rubric on how I graded this especially for writing standards for honors classes -- but I left it as a word document so teachers can modify it for their grading standards. This is one assignment that so many of my students over the years have kept and told me how much they appreciated reading over and over as they went through their lives.
