My Travel Journal, Kindergarten, Copy and Go contains Common Core Standards-aligned activities for a student to craft a memory-filled travel journal of their vacation.
Are you a teacher who just had a parent inform you they are taking their child out of school for a vacation? Are you a homeschooling family who likes to hit the road for extended field trips? A parent looking to fill the hours on a long car ride across the US of A? Wondering what to do? Well, you’ve come to the right place.
The travel journal activities aligned to Kindergarten CCSS and California science and social studies standards include:
A Weather Chart
A Packing List
State and National Symbols
Plant and Animal Record
ABCs of the Trip
and Journal Entries
This Copy and Go Black and White Edition has the same activities as the Copy and Go Color Edition
, but was developed for teachers who may not have access to a color copier.
The Copy and Go Editions also contain similar activities to the original My Travel Journal, Kindergarten
but they have been reformatted into a set of pages which can be copied, sent home, and filled out as is for those not wishing to create a larger, cut-n-paste into a scrapbook type of project.
I developed My Travel Journals after being faced with two long car trips one summer with three small children. Having my children work on these journals kept them busy and saved my sanity. I’ve blogged about the experience at Lessons In Homeschooling
. If you want to see my children’s travel journals in action please check it out.
I have also created Travel Journals for Grades 1 and 2 which can be found at my store
. I am in the process of creating more travel journals for other grades so follow me if you wish to receive updates when they are available.
Many Happy Adventures!
