Product Description
Looking for supplemental activities when planning a zoo trip? This 16-page package will help you to prepare the students for a trip to the zoo and help them to record their observations. Through a guided discussion and the trip itself, they will learn about animals' anatomy, habitat, food, movement, etc. They will also discuss the difference between their tame pets and wild animals and learn why they should respect the animals they see. It also helps them to understand why they shouldn't go beyond the barriers, jump into areas they shouldn't be in and why they shouldn't feed the animals the food we normally eat. It explains why animal handlers can go into the enclosures because of their training and why we can't do the same thing. It has a set of questions that the children may have so you can use that as a guide to let the children know what to expect, what to bring, and what to do if they get lost. There's also a writing assignment which asks the students to reflect on the most important things they've learned from the trip.

Even if you don't go on a real trip, you can pretend to go on a safari and use the materials to teach children about the animals as they gain knowledge and a healthy respect for nature.

The worksheets are given in both the American and Canadian spellings.

Due to the digital nature of this product, no refunds will be given.

I hope that you and your students will have hours of fun with this package as they learn about the animal kingdom.
