"What did you learn at school this week?" This is the standard question of parents all across the country. And unfortunately the standard response from most students at any grade level is "Nothing," or "I don't know". How do we make students more accountable for their learning? This simple exit ticket has really helped me out! Students simply fill out the sheet every Friday about what they have learned throughout the week in various subject areas. The parent signs the bottom portion and this is returned to school the following week. Not only does this help build students accountability and reinforce learning, but it also creates weekly parent contact!
