My Zoo Passport can be used during a field trip to the zoo. This is a way to keep children involved in the field trip. The children can check off, stamp, or color in the box when they come to the specific animal exhibit. After coming back from the zoo you can use the sheet at the end of this pack for students to create their own factual zoo book. You can also create a class book in which students choose one animal to write about. If you are unable go on a field trip to a zoo, print off the animal posters found at the end of the pack and hang around the room, school, or playground. Have your children go on a zoo animal scavenger hunt and check off animals as they find them. This pack is designed in color, and in black and white! This pack is also connected to the Kindergarten and 1st grade English/Language Arts Common Core Standards.
