You can use this with any nonfiction work you are currently studying. From animals to historical people, this is great for a review of comprehension and facts. Included is an instruction sheet on how to make the foldable and the foldable itself. The foldable has space for five facts to be written and spaces above for small illustrations.
To make: Have students write five facts about their topic and add illustrations in the spaces above each sentence. Students should only cut on the dotted lines. Other solid lines should be folded accordion style. The strip that reads “cut this strip off” should be cut off so that the top strip of facts can attach to the bottom strip of facts. Simply overlap the two pieces so that fact #2 overlaps the “glue here” tab on fact #3. You should end up with a row of facts that are folded into an accordion style booklet.
