Printable of MyPlate Daily Servings and Proportions of each group shows the plate and how it should be filled per meal. It also has the number of servings a child should have each day.
This goes well with any lesson plan on health and nutrition and really for any age, even to send home to families. It makes a nice reminder (perfect for the refrigerator!)
The concept of MyPlate is from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. I designed my own plate because I wanted one that also included some basic guidelines for number of servings for each of the groups. The serving information I used is from healthychildren.org (which is part of the American Academy of Pediatrics).
