You will receive the three items listed below in one MS Word file that can be changed as you like. There are six general vocabulary words that are related to Mysteries such as alibi, suspect, etc. and there are 14 words from the play or novel The Phantom Tollbooth. This is not an exhaustive list, but it is a great starting point to introduce mysteries and this novel.
1. A study guide of 20 vocabulary words and definitions, sized to fit two study guides to a page so you can save money on printing. Just cut in half and students can keep your printed guides or can copy them over so you can laminate them and save them for next year.
2. A vocabulary game called I Have Who Has using all 20 words and definitions. My students LOVE this review game. It takes less than 3 minutes and is a good way to end class (a closure activity). Pass out the cards, choose one person to read the card and the rest follow and answer as they hear the definition that matches their word.
3. A list of all 20 vocabulary words in isolation, typed 3, 4, 5 or 6 to page. I size some to print portrait style and some to print landscape style and then laminate to re-hang on the wall each year.
PS I print everything above in one color paper so when I store it for next year, I can easily see what belongs together and if I find a stray item, the color tells me where it belongs.
