Ever wish that you could teach both math and language arts concepts at the same time?? Well here is your answer! Mystery Addition Alphabet Pictures use 100 chart numbers and addition skills to create uppercase stick letters.
At the top of each worksheet there are smaller boxes with numbers inside of them. Students will use these numbers as a guide to find the mystery alphabet letter! Starting at the top, going from left to right, have students add the two numbers together then locate the answer on the big 100 chart and color in that box. Next, students should cross out the addition sentence at the top of the page to organize what has already been found with what still needs to be found! At the end by, looking at the colored in 100 chart, students will see one of the letters of the alphabet! The children LOVE being “detectives” and using prediction to guess what letter it could be. This activity offers LOTS of 100 chart practice, by the end of these worksheets your students will be very familiar with adding 1 to digits 1-100 and the layout of a 100 chart!
