Although this posting is labeled as a project, students don't need to make or create anything laborious! They simply read a mystery independently, as a class, or group and analyze their book with the pages that you print and staple together!
Students will read ANY mystery of any length at any reading level. They will finish sentence starters that address the essentials such as POV and author's purpose. They will fill in charts regarding story-structure and the mysterious elements that appeared in their book. As usual, all of their answers/ideas will be supported with text evidence!
Designed for multiple-uses, multi-use.
Flexible use options:
-use for whole class genre/novel/lit. studies/book clubs/lit. circles
-use pages separately or collectively
-use as documents for independent reading/SSR/DEAR
-use for book talks or presentations or book reports
-use to supplement ANY reading program
-use to supplement short-stories in teacher-purchased books or on-line resources

Students love the "who was it?" element of mysteries!
