This activity can have a lot of applications in the Drama and Language Arts classroom as it can be used with any play or novel. The students pick a character (or use the character they are acting in a play) and answer questions about a mystery box of items that they have been given. The mystery boxes are a small box of simple items the teacher has put together. The goal is to encourage students to think creatively about each object and to get into their character's point of view. I developed this activity originally for 7th grade drama class but have used it with all ages and is a great activity to make people think about characters. This includes a 2 page worksheet and a 1 page instructional sheet for the teacher.
