Description
What’s inside the box? These mats were created for use during speech therapy. Mats can be printed for face-to-face therapy or shared digitally during teletherapy. You will need a box or bag as well as objects to put in the box or bag to play. The mats serve as an aid to help students figure out what’s inside the box or bag.
Please note you do not need ALL items on the mat, you could play with as little as one on the mat. You can also use any box or bag to play! Be creative with objects! You can use mini-toys, magnets, drawings, etc. 10 items are included on most mats. A color version and black/white version is included for each mat.
All articulation mats target the phoneme in the initial position only with the exception of Vocalic /R/. Items on the mats align well with the Lakeshore Alphabet Teaching tub items and the Speech Trinkets from Dinky Doodads on Etsy. Don’t have mini-objects? No problem! Pictures of objects work just as well! The following mats are included:
