Product Description

This is a new spin on the classic mystery games I have created. Students will work together to solve the mystery AND escape the room they are trapped in. The material is so fun and engaging, students won't even know they are actually learning! This activity can be used anytime of year and is a fantastic way to get students excited about learning.

In this game, the crown of the Ice Queen has been stolen and the students have been trapped in the room by the thief. Students must use their skills to unlock all the clues and solve the mystery.

What is included?

  • Teacher setup instructions with detailed information about each page
  • Rules for playing the game
  • Link to Google form where students can access the online piece (optional)
  • 6 clues to be solved with answer keys
  • Graphic organizer for keeping track of clues
  • Answer key and discussion questions
  • Clue labels for envelopes
  • Award for completing mystery and escaping the room

What skills will we be working on?

There are so many different skills that students will be working on, that it would be impossible to list them all, but here are a few:

  • Team building
  • Collaboration
  • Inferencing
  • Problem solving
  • Multiplication
  • Reading comprehension
  • Figurative language

What materials do I need?

  • Envelopes to organize clues
  • Paper and ink to print materials
  • Technology if you decide to use the online form

How much time will this activity take?

I would reserve approximately 60-90 minutes for this activity. This depends on your class and how you implement the game.
