Reviewing properties of matter and measurement, students must decode each ingredient necessary to make sugar cookie dough. Each of the 8 ingredients also has a measurement that will need converted before it can be completed. I used this in conjunction with solar ovens that my classes made, but it is meant for rolled out/cut out cookies in a conventional oven, at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes. The directions are also dependent on the ingredients being correctly identified, so the answer key is attached to ensure success!
Review measurement, properties of matter, procedural text, conversions, and even use pure heat or alternative energy while you're at it!
My students had a blast.
It is a powerpoint but it can be cut and pasted into word, or what I did was print it as 4 slides per page so that it could be used double sided on an 11x18 paper. Also able to be edited for your needs!
