Very fun and engaging lab for students. Students will use what they have learned about density to identify various mystery liquids. Provide students with at 3 different liquids, make sure they are all different colors, but don't tell them what each liquid is. Students will find the mass and volume of each liquid to calculate their densities. Students will then use an answer key (that you need to provide them with based on the liquids you choose to use) to see if they correctly identified each mystery liquid. Then, provide students with a clear tube and have them pour each liquid in it and see how the liquids stack on top of each other and don't mix together because of their different densities. Students will love this last part.
