What educators are saying

I used this to get more parent involvement. This really helped me organize and explain what a mystery reader is. I will be using this resource for years to come!

I have been incorporating Mystery Readers into my class for the last six years and it has been fantastic!

Mystery Readers are parents, siblings, grandparents, visiting relatives, family friends, neighbors.... basically, anyone with an attachment to a child in my class (including the principal and other teachers!) who comes in for 15 minutes one afternoon per week to share a picture book aloud with the class.

The super-fun part is that their identity is kept TOP SECRET all week long! The kids have no idea who will be showing up at the door during Mystery Reader time- all they have are the five clues that the Mystery Reader has given us.... Can you feel the suspense?!

Included in this packet is everything you will need to incorporate Mystery Readers in your class:

1. Sign Up Cover
2. Parent Letter (my version & an editable version)
3. Reminder Letter
4. Clues Keeper
5. Thank You Letter Templates
6. Book Display Sign
7. Door Sign
