You have set up your word wall but getting your students to utilize it regularly is your next challenge. Using my Mystery Sight Words Sets will spark student interest and get them EXTREMELY familiar with the words that are on the word wall for them. These sets are available individually or in a cost savings bundle as you can see below. This is one of four sets available.
This packet includes approximately fifty sight words and their clues. Each word has a variety of clues to read aloud to your students. Based on the information you reveal to your students one at a time, your students are strongly encouraged look at the word wall and figure out which sight word you have in mind. Clues are based on a variety of skills including: number of syllables, beginning letter, how many vowels or consonants are in the word, whether it begins with a digraph or blend, what it rhymes with, antonyms, synonyms, and homophones, context clues, and several other options. The student contents of this product are now only available ONLY in a black and white format for your printing convenience. Copying these on Astrobrights will add a fun and colorful pop to your classroom décor, and really capture the interest of your students. Also included, you will find numbered clue cards to help you keep the clues all organized once separated. Should you choose to cut them and put them on envelopes to hold each of your clues, you can make an "interactive chart" that can be used again and again! You can also staple the envelopes to a bulletin board to keep it up for an extended period. I find that to be most convenient and ensures that his happens regularly. Setting this up on a trifold display is also another great way to use this if you are in a smaller space. Each set of clues are assigned their own number so once you use the set of cards, you can clip them together to stay organized. I store all my clues in a large manila envelope and see no reason why each set can't be used again and again.
