This is a set of Mystery Sight word sheets that include 14 dolch primer and pre-primer words.
Mystery sight words combines sight word practice with number recognition up to 100.
How To Use:
Pick a sight word for students to find. Print the blank number grid (one for each student). Print out the corresponding sight word chart. (The key is found on the table of contents of this packet)
Students use the sight word chart to color each corresponding number on the blank number grid the appropriate color.
This activity can be done independently or whole group. When the student is done coloring all of the appropriate numbers, they need to to turn the grid horizontally to read the sight word.
I use these in my kindergarten classroom as either morning work, center work, or homework. They integrate both math and reading skills. It is also great to teach students to transfer from one sheet to another.
My students love finding the mystery word and using their number skills throughout the way.
