Practice phonological awareness skills with a fun mystery! Students grab a card and look at the pictures for the different syllables and then blend the syllables to form multi-syllabic words.

This set includes 40 cards in full color or 40 cards in B&W. It has 31 2-syllable cards, 5 3-syllable cards (transitioning students), and 4 3-syllable cards with 3 pictures.

Each card has a large dot for students to point to underneath each picture to help them track as they work to blend syllables into multisyllabic words.

Blending syllables is an early step to learning to blend sounds into words and is a key skill to learning to read. This is especially important for students with dyslexia or other reading disabilities, as they have more difficulty learning phonological awareness skills than other students.

Your students will love figuring out the mystery word! These are perfect for literacy stations/centers to practice working with words and are especially great for fast finishers or students needing early intervention.
