NO COLOR INK NEEDED!!
This is a favorite reading center activity in my first grade classroom! Students look at the picture clues and identify the initial sounds and letters of each word. They put the letter that each picture starts with on top of each picture until they have spelled out a word. Then they write the word on the recording sheet ((My students use magnetic letters for this activity, but you could easily use letter tiles or something similar if magnetic letters are not available))
