Do your students know the story of Romeo and Juliet?
Romeo and Juliet are found dead laying on the floor. The only things next to them is a puddle of water and broken glass. The window was open. What happened to them? (Romeo and Juliet were fish. The cat came in through the open window and broke their fish tank).
These cards are based on the same principle - students need to figure out the circumstances under which the mystery had happened.
This activity is a great lead-in activity to teaching detective fiction. It can be used to open any lesson or end any lesson . There are 12 stories, 24 cards (12 with the story, 12 with the solution).
