These are short crossword puzzles designed to accompany the Eight Brief Tales of Lovers, Part Two, chapter Six of Edith Hamilton's Mythology. Sometimes my students work on this individually, sometimes in pairs, sometimes in small groups. Most answers are basic and come straight from memory, others may be a bit trickier if students are thinking of a synonym for a word ex: isolation vs. solitude. Generally I have my students do what they can, then use their books, then we go over and fill in what they've missed. [I use crossword puzzles as my study guides a lot, so it is less important that they get every answer on the crossword than that they can later remember the answers from the crossword.]
Each puzzle is relatively short, but the preview is the shortest.
