Children develop a sense of ownership and recognize their own worth and dignity through creating. In order to do this you will aid each child in creating a tri-fold sign which will be used throughout the weeks to be displayed while the child is working during center time!
Print out the name signs template onto cardstock. Help the children write their name on the line. Fold the sign on the dotted line and secure the pieces together using tape or glue. You can choose to laminate it before or after writing their name, however, it does cause issues when folding and securing the folds. Also, I have found that replacing the un-laminated nametag creates the natural opportunity to have to recreate the name tag, which further supports the literacy learning goals.
