>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This resource focuses on teaching the orientation in a narrative. Use the 24 presentation slides in conjunction with the student guided notes that is in booklet form. Students record information as you present. The slides are editable so you will be able to edit content or change spellings. Some text that is locked in with the clip art cannot be edited; this is in keeping with the artist’s terms of use. The guided notes booklet is not editable, although a British English version is included.

SUGGESTED USE:
→ With the slideshow, elicit responses from students prior to playing out the animations on each slide. For example, for slide 1, ask the question, what is a narrative – prior to revealing that a narrative is a story of real or imagined events. Refer to the teacher guide as you present. This gives the opportunity for students to think constructively prior to recording the words that fill in the blanks. I’ve also gathered that students are more engaged whilst recording.

→ Booklet is easy to assemble. Simply photocopy back to back and fold. This medium enables information to be released in manageable chunks, not making content too overwhelming for students. Detailed assembly instructions included in file.
