In this product you will find 10 question prompts addressing the common core state standard: NBT.1 Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
These questions address the standard in different ways: all comparing and computing the values of different numbers based on their place value.
I suggest projecting these during a mini lesson and having students respond using an engaging Kagan or SOS strategy. These could also be used as a "scoot" activity during center rotations - hang them around the room and have students walk from prompt to prompt, recording their answers on the recording sheet provided as they go.
