Blooms Taxonomy Reading Sticks
I use these Blooms in my classroom all the time! This download contains 144 Blooms based questions, organized by colour and ready to cut out!
I glued mine on foam craft sticks of coordinating colours. Students pick out a stick during guided reading, or independent reading and answer in their writer's notebooks. You can use sticky notes and place them on the board, and even categorize the questions. Coming up with ways to organize our responses is a wonderful way to promote higher-level thinking!
This is also a wonderful tool for home reading! Cut out a few questions that you think students will benefit from and have them focus on those questions as they read at home. Have them respond in a take home journal or using sticky notes. Students could even create a share document on Google Docs and keep track of their reading and understanding.
Parents will LOVE these! Perfect for parents requesting work they can do with their kids. No marking needed! Asking these higher-level thinking questions is the best way to get the most out of reading with their children!
Download now and start using them to engage your students! And please check out my other items on my TPT store. There are many fun games and classroom organizational tools. I'm adding new items regularly!
