Product Description
Looking for higher level thinking word problems for your 5th graders? Questions to challenge them and make them think? I have created these 24 task cards that focus on higher level questioning. I wanted to create a product that really challenged my students to think outside the box of the typical multiple choice questioning format. These are perfect for students working with the common core standards as well. These can also be a great review for sixth graders or a challenge activity for fourth graders.

All you need to do is print, cut, laminate and shuffle cards.

Have your students complete the cards at a center and record their answers on the recording key provided

Use as a ticket out the door, picking one out of the stack to complete as a quick check or spiral throughout the year

Keep intact and assign a sheet for homework for the night or use as an assessment tool in small groups or intervention

Use as part of a review game before standardized tests

Great for fast finishers too!

-Comparing and ordering decimals
-Simplifying expressions
-Rounding decimals and whole numbers
-Prime and composite numbers
-Fraction and decimal equivalence
-Determining the value of digits
-Dividing decimals
-Classifying 2D figures
-Calculating area, perimeter and volume
