Here are 28 task cards that cover all things related to the place value of decimals. Students will be asked to order, compare, round/estimate, place them on number lines, know the value of digits and their expanded, word and standard form and analyze decimal models. All questions are open ended- no multiple choice so students will need to show their thinking.
All you need to do is print, cut, laminate and shuffle cards.
Have your students complete the cards at a center and record their answers on the recording sheet provided.
(Answer key is provided for student self-check at centers or teacher quick check)
Use as a ticket out the door, picking one out of the stack to complete as a quick check or spiral throughout the year.
Assign a sheet for homework for the night during your place value unit.
Great for fast finishers too!
