In need of more practice for your students with graphing number patterns? I found that my kiddos could graph ordered pairs like there was no tomorrow but they continued to struggle with graphing number patterns from input-output charts and vice versa. So, these 20 task cards were created!
What’s in the download?
-I can poster for the standard (5.4C)
-Two poster size blank coordinate grids – one has intervals of 1 and the other counts on by 2 (you can project these on your SMART board or make copies for students for centers or individual continued practice plotting points)
-Task cards are differentiated to begin with the basic skills and then progressively require higher level thinking skills.
-Cards 1-4 ask students to fill in missing parts of tables when given a pattern
-Cards 5-8 ask students to find the pattern for the completed table
-Cards 9-12 ask students to plot points on the coordinate grid that are represented in a table and create an equation to match
-Cards 13-20 are a mixture of word problems in multiple choice format
Just simply print, cut, laminate and shuffle cards
-Have your students complete the cards at a center and record their answers on the recording key provided or get up and move around the room with a game of SCOOT
-Use as a ticket out the door, picking one out of the stack to complete as a quick check or spiral throughout the year
-Keep intact and assign a sheet for homework for the night or use as an assessment tool during small groups or intervention
-Great for fast finishers too!
Answer key and recording sheet are included for student self-check or teacher quick check.
These cards are aligned to Texas 5.4C (readiness) and can be used to supplement Common Core 5.G.A.1 & 5.G.A.2
