TIPS FOR NEW + IMPROVING TEACHERS - Behaviour Management, Rapport & Class Expectations
After 10+ years of classroom experience, I now teach student teachers of English at our local university. This is a set of helpful tips, techniques and information which I present to my students at the start of their teaching diploma. This information on basic teaching building blocks enables teachers to set the right tone right from the start of the year - creating a positive first impression, having that classroom 'presence,' creating rapport with students, how to manage behaviour and discipline students, how to deal with problem kids, etc. Lots of excellent and extremely clear, specific, hands-on advice which you can put into action right away. Even teachers with a few years under their belt may find it and interesting read and glean a few tips to take away.
9 pages of written tips and hints, plus an editable 2 page class expectations document which you can edit and hand out on the first day of class to all your students.
#CHECK OUT my other great resources - I have some great essay writing posters, and a pack of posters with wise quotes which you can easily print on coloured paper and use to spruce up your room superfast.
