A fun MN composer!
I do Composer of the Month (COM) with my students every month by giving them clues as to who the composer is. Each month, they go home and Google the clues (with help) or tell me 2 clues, and I will be Google for them and tell them the name! At the end of the month, I draw a name out of the box, and if they guessed correctly, then they are the winner of the month! I take a picture with the COM winner for our bulletin board; I reveal who the composer is at the end of the month. At the end of the school year, I draw a name out of the giant bin of COM slips (all collected all year) for the iTunes gift card winner! It's a fun way to get the kids involved in their own learning outside of music class.
